Design-Build Our Design-Build Approach to Home Remodeling
At 360 House Remodeling, we make your remodel easier by combining design and construction under one roof. Whether you’re planning a full home remodel, updating your kitchen, or transforming your bathroom, our design-build process keeps everything simple, clear, and on track.
We don’t just build – we plan with you, we guide you, and we bring your vision to life from the very first idea to the final coat of paint.
How Our Design-Build Process Works
Here’s how we guide you from dream to reality, ensuring every detail is handled with care:
In-Home Meeting & Budget Planning
Whether you’re dreaming of a new kitchen, bathroom, or a full home renovation, our expert team is ready to help. We offer both complete renovations and partial remodels to fit your needs and budget.
We’ll also talk about your timeline and your expected investment. Remodeling costs can vary widely depending on scope, materials, and layout changes, so we’ll walk you through typical costs for flooring, tile, cabinetry, countertops, plumbing fixtures, lighting, and more. This step is all about helping you understand what’s possible, and what makes sense for your home and lifestyle.
Design Agreement & Concept Planning
Once we’re aligned on direction, we’ll enter into a design agreement. This gives us the green light to start the creative work. You’ll work closely with our in-house designer to create:
-
Custom floor plans and layout options
-
3D renderings of each room
-
Mood boards and material suggestions
-
Finish selections (tile, cabinetry style, flooring, countertops, hardware, paint, etc.)
Our design process is collaborative and easy to follow. We’ll explore different layouts, go over options like moving plumbing walls or removing load-bearing beams, and help you compare costs between features (for example, a prefabricated vanity vs. custom built-ins). You’ll get to see your remodel come to life before we ever start construction.
We’ll refine the plans together until everything looks right, and fits comfortably within your budget.
Final Design, Permits & Contract
Once the design is approved, we move into the final planning stage. This includes:
-
Finalizing all material selections and fixture specifications
-
Preparing detailed construction drawings
-
Applying for building permits through your city or county
-
Scheduling subcontractors (plumbers, electricians, HVAC, tile setters, etc.)
We’ll also prepare your construction contract. It includes a clear project scope, labor and material breakdown, construction timeline, payment schedule, and warranty coverage.
No vague line items, no open-ended pricing, just a transparent, all-inclusive agreement so you know exactly what you’re getting.
Construction & Weekly Updates
Once permits are issued and materials are ordered, construction begins. Our licensed and insured crew handles every part of the build.
Throughout the project, your dedicated project manager will be your main point of contact. They’ll coordinate trades, manage timelines, and check in with you weekly (or more often if needed) to keep everything moving smoothly.
You’ll get updates on what’s happening next, delivery timelines for special-order materials, and clear heads-up if anything unexpected comes up.
We’ll protect your home with floor coverings, dust barriers, and daily cleanups, because remodeling should never feel like chaos.
Final Walk-Through & Warranty
When construction is complete, we’ll do a full walkthrough together. This is where we go over every detail, check all finishes, fixtures, and systems, and make sure everything meets your expectations. If any small items need to be adjusted or touched up, we’ll create a punch list and take care of it right away.
Once the final work is complete, we’ll have your space professionally cleaned so it’s move-in ready.
You’ll receive a 2-year warranty on workmanship and installation. We’ll also give you a digital copy of your remodel package, including plans, selections, care tips, and contact info, so you’re covered in the future.

Frequently Asked Questions About About Our Remodeling Process
We want you to feel completely comfortable and informed about how we work. Here are answers to common questions about our 360 remodeling process.
How long does Step 1: In-Home Meeting & Budget Planning take?
The initial phone call or email usually takes 15–30 minutes. During the in-home visit, we spend about 60–90 minutes walking your space, discussing ideas, and gathering measurements. After that, we’ll follow up with a rough estimate based on your goals, scope, and current market pricing.
What should I prepare before Step 2: Design Agreement & Concept Planning?
It’s helpful to have a list of things you like (or don’t like) about your current space, plus any inspiration photos or links. Knowing your must-haves, wish list, and ideal budget range gives us a great head start. But don’t stress if you’re unsure, this phase is designed to help you explore your options and get clarity.
How detailed are the 3D designs in Step 2? Will I really be able to visualize it?
Absolutely. Our 3D renderings include layout, cabinet styles, finishes, fixtures, tile, lighting, and more. You’ll be able to see how each element works together and make changes before anything is built. It’s a great way to avoid surprises and feel confident in your choices.
What happens in Step 3: Final Design, Permits & Contract?
Once you approve the design, we’ll handle all the technical prep: final drawings, permit applications, trade scheduling, and a detailed construction contract. The contract will include pricing, a clear scope of work, a construction timeline, and a payment schedule so you know exactly what to expect.
Can I make changes after I sign the construction contract in Step 3?
We aim to finalize major decisions before the contract, but we understand that sometimes changes come up. If you request changes that affect cost or schedule, we’ll review them with you and issue a formal change order for your approval. No surprises, no pressure, just clear communication.
Who will I work with during Step 4: Construction?
You’ll be assigned a dedicated Project Manager who will oversee your remodel from start to finish. They’ll be your main point of contact, providing weekly updates, answering questions, and keeping things running smoothly onsite.
How do you protect my home during construction?
We treat your home like it’s our own. We use dust barriers, floor protection, and daily cleanup practices to keep your space as tidy and livable as possible. Our crew is trained to be respectful, clean, and careful while working in your home.
What does Step 5: Final Walkthrough & Warranty include?
After construction wraps up, we’ll do a full walkthrough with you to inspect every detail. Once punch list items are completed, we provide a professional cleaning and deliver your remodel warranty documents. We offer a 2-year workmanship warranty.
What if I have a unique or custom request?
We love a good challenge. Whether it’s a special layout, hidden storage, luxury finishes, or something totally outside the box, our design-build approach is flexible. We’ll explore your idea during the early phases and figure out how to make it work within your project scope and budget.
How long does the entire process take from start to finish?
hat depends on the project. Here’s a general idea after design is complete and construction begins: Bathroom remodel: 3-5 weeks Kitchen remodel: 6-8 weeks Full home remodel: 3-6 months Design and planning usually take 3-6 weeks depending on how many revisions are needed. You’ll receive a detailed schedule and timeline with your construction contract.
Is there any cost or commitment before I sign the construction agreement?
There’s no cost for the initial consultation and in-home meeting. If you decide to move forward with design, we offer a flat-fee design agreement based on project size and scope, no hourly billing, no surprises. You only sign a construction contract once the design, selections, and price are finalized and approved by you.
